In January-March 2017, Lemtrans transported 13.76 million tons of various goods. During the same period in 2016, 14.6 million tons were transported.

The main volume of loading falls to coal - 5.56 million tons - and iron ore raw materials - 4.99 million tons. According to the results of the first quarter of 2016, the carriage of these types of cargo amounted to 6.29 million tons and 4.68 million tons, respectively.

The volumes of ferrous metal transportation in January-March totaled 1.63 million tons (1.64 million tons in I quarter 2016), fluxes - 0.84 million tons (1.07 million tons in I quarter 2016), coke - 0 , 58 million tons (0.73 million tons in the 1st quarter of 2016).

The General Manager of Lemtrans Vladimir Mezentsev: "The key factor that influenced the reduction of cargo volumes in the first quarter of 2017 was a blockade of railway communications with uncontrolled territories. Our team has done a great job of fulfilling its obligations, given the lack of time and reality that we have encountered. In absolute figures, we lost 200 average daily cargo carriages. To reach the 2016 figures, we must be sure that infrastructure and locomotive craving will not fail us."
