According to Anatoly Zabolotny, director of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation , the provision of humanitarian assistance, along with the insufficient number of places for the placement of settlers, is now becoming one of the biggest problems.

"As soon as the cities of Donbass started shooting, the founder of the Foundation, Rinat Akhmetov, set a clear goal that we should help the peaceful inhabitants who are in danger to help all that is in our power. And since May 23, the Foundation and SCM Group companies have evacuated more than 18,000 people from the area of ​​hostilities. Including the Foundation - over 10,000 people, more than half of whom are children. If you look at UN data, it is about 15% of those who left and at least 30% of those who needed assistance in evacuation. The Foundation deployed and hired over 5,500 people, more than 20,000 received humanitarian assistance. Evacuation is the most difficult and important part of our work, but there are also issues of accommodation, assistance in the field and those who stayed on Donbass, preparation for the autumn-winter season. Over the course of these months, we have gained a lot of experience and understand that it needs to be used to the maximum. Therefore, we are joining forces to do more and help everyone who needs it, "Anatoly Zabolotny emphasized.

The Humanitarian Headquarters renders assistance in four main areas. First and foremost, this is an evacuation from the area of ​​military action of orphans, large children, disabled and seriously ill, elderly people. In the absence of water, electricity, food, medicine in many settlements, the Headquarters is engaged in the delivery of humanitarian assistance. Assistance is also provided to those who left the area of ​​hostilities, and is to accommodate settlers in bases, sanatoriums, camps. A separate direction is targeted assistance "here and now" to those who need it most. We are talking about minors who lost their parents in the war.
