In January-March 2016, the transport and forwarding company Lemtrans  transported 14.6 million tons of goods of various nomenclature. This indicator is 6.7% higher than the figures for the same period of 2015.

The volume of coal transportation decreased by 7.49% to 6.3 million tons. At the same time, transportation of iron ore raw materials increased by 10.3% to 4.70 million tons. The volumes of ferrous metal transportation in January-March totaled 1.6 million tons (1.28 million tons in the first quarter of 2015), fluxes - 1.07 million tons (0.65 million tons in I quarter of 2015) , coke - 0.74 million tons (0.43 million tons in the 1st quarter of 2015).

Let's remind, according to the results of 2015 the volume of transportation of the company Lemtrans  made 63,7 million tons of goods of various nomenclature. A key factor in increasing the volumes of cargo transportation was the implementation of a program to expand the company's car fleet. In 2015, the company acquired 1839 gondola cars.
