930 thousand people received help from the Akhmetov's Headquarters for a year

"During the year, the humanitarian staff of Rinat Akhmetov managed to build the most effective system of delivery of assistance to the civilian population in the Donbass and become the largest supplier of humanitarian goods in Ukraine," said Grigory Koldunov, Director of the Humanitarian Staff, at the Ukrainska Novosti news agency briefing. - Thanks to this, for 12 months assistance from the Staff was provided to 930 thousand people, of which 750 thousand - are elderly and disabled, 48 thousand - children. The production kits from the Humanitarian Headquarters receive 500,000 people a month. " 

A year ago, on August 6, 2014, in order to provide maximum assistance to civilians in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, a Humanitarian Staff was created that united resources and capabilities of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, SCM Group and FC Shakhtar business.

As Grigory Koldunov emphasized, unlike other humanitarian organizations, assisting the most in need, the Humanitarian Headquarters assumes responsibility for subsequent extradition. "The retiree who receives our product sets knows that he will receive help again after arriving in the 35 days at the delivery point. Thus, our system gives people confidence in the future, and this is very important in the conditions of complete uncertainty that brought the war on the East of Ukraine, "Koldunov said. 

According to the head of the Rimma Fil, head co-ordinator at the headquarters, staff at the headquarters of the Physicians and Oncologists of the Akhmetov Foundation, specialists at FC Shakhtar, SCM Group employees, volunteers and drivers - all of these people were re-qualified in the best Ukrainian procurement, delivery and distribution specialists humanitarian assistance.

The main programs implemented by the Headquarters during the year were evacuation and deployment of refugees, humanitarian assistance to the elderly and children, targeted and psychological assistance. Short-term projects are being implemented, such as "Peaceful summer - children of the Donbas!".

"I am convinced that we can all be able to do all the work later , to fully appreciate everything Rinat Akhmetov, his Humanitarian Headquarters will do . The colossal work that has been done and done every minute today, every day, has a very simple, human basis - to help Ukrainian citizens who are in trouble, in war. This help allows millions of our fellow citizens to survive, "said Rimma Fil, head co-ordinator.          

According to Natalya Emchenko, Director of Public Relations and Communications of SCM at the briefing, a member of the Humanitarian Staff Supervisory Board, that in a situation that has developed, the Humanitarian Headquarters does not plan its activities for more than 3 months. In the near future plans are to keep the amount of aid issued at the level of 500 thousand product kits per month. The headquarters plans with the help of mobile brigades to deliver grocery sets to distant villages and villages, to where no help comes. Psychologists of the Humanitarian Headquarters will continue to work with children with a "war injury" on both sides of the conflict. The targeted assistance program will also be continued.

"Efficiency is one of the key principles of the Humanitarian Headquarters. The essence of this principle is to work so as to help the maximum number of people who are in trouble. When the trouble of such a scale, as today in Ukraine, when the help is needed by millions, a huge amount of lives depends on the efficiency of our work. Akhmetov's headquarters today is the largest humanitarian mission in Ukraine in terms of volume of assistance, including - due to the effectiveness of the work of the headquarters team. I sincerely admire everyone who works at the Humanitarian Headquarters and with the Humanitarian Headquarters, and I want to say the words of the most sincere gratitude ", - emphasized Natalia Emchenko.
