Lemtrans company has joined the global initiative of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation to help Ukrainian hospitals in the fight against COVID-19. The handover ceremony took place on 04 November in Volnovakha. This is not the first time that the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation provided assistance. This summer, the Foundation has already donated an expert-class lung ventilator to this healthcare facility. The lung ventilators donated to the hospital by the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and Lemtrans are among the most advanced in the world, but most importantly, they are easy to use and largely rule out the human factor. This means that these ventilators can be used immediately after installation in almost any hospital in Ukraine, which is very important during an epidemic, when there is a need to save lives here and now. In April, as part of this initiative, Lemtrans has already purchased and transferred to the Volnovakha Central District Hospital more than 2,000 units of personal protective equipment: medical glasses and gloves, face shields, high-protection masks, as well as overalls. “In this difficult time, we have provided and will keep providing assistance to healthcare facilities. We focus our efforts on the regions where we operate. This is the company’s contribution to preventing the spread of coronavirus infection and ensuring social stability in these regions,” says Volodymyr Mezentsev, CEO of the company. Earlier, for effective work, the Foundation launched the Fighting COVID-19 in Ukraine project, which became part of the larger programme, Rinat Akhmetov — Saving Lives. The project is unparalleled in our country. Back in February, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation allocated UAH 300 million to help fight COVID-19. This is the largest systematic and large-scale private initiative aimed at helping public healthcare facilities in the fight against coronavirus.
