Today in the Donbass is the most difficult situation. There was fear in Donbass. People close stores, close offices, leave the city, shoot and kill people on the streets.
And this is a huge misfortune for our region.
We are in trouble. And I want the Donbass and every inhabitant of our region to be happy. And what is happiness? Happiness is when the world is over its head.
Happiness is when it is calm in your heart. Happiness is when a strong economy is created, new jobs are created, people have decent work, decent salaries and decent living.
Happiness is when we are respected. Respect our history, respect our memory, respect our language, respect our holidays, respect our traditions and respect our ambitions - our ambitions for a better life.
How can we achieve this? In my opinion, there are four scenarios.
Scenario number one: everything remains as it is. All power in Kiev, and regions are developing on the final principle. This way is outdated, he has no right for the future, and I am deeply convinced of this.
Scenario number two: Donetsk national republic. Nobody in the world will recognize her. And the structure of our economy is the coal industry, it is metallurgy, it is energy, it is mechanical engineering, it is chemical industry and this is agriculture. And all related enterprises that are connected with it. We will get under huge sanctions, we will not be able to sell or produce. This means stopping production, which means unemployment, which means poverty.
Scenario number three: joining Russia. I am deeply convinced that this is not necessary neither Russia nor Donbass. And neither Russia nor Donbass will benefit from this. We will get under huge sanctions, and just like we will not be able to sell or produce our products. This means economic recession, unemployment and poverty.
And the script is number four. In my opinion, this is the only correct path: this is a change in the Constitution, the decentralization of power. This is when the power of Kiev passes into the regions. This is when the authorities do not appoint and choose. And this is when local authorities take responsibility for the present and the future for the people.
I am deeply convinced that a happy Donbass may only be in united Ukraine.
