In January-May 2014, the total volume of cargo transported by Lemtrans was 25.7 million tons, which is 65.1% more than the same figures for 2013.

The volume of transportation of coal amounted to 14.8 million tons, while in the 5 months of 2013, 10.9 million tons were transported. The second type of cargo for the company is the iron ore raw material. The volume of transportation amounted to 4.2 million tons (3.3 million tons in 5 months of 2013).

Also, in January-May 2014, 2.3 million tons of fluxes, 2.7 million tons were transported. tons of ferrous metals and 1.3 million tons of coke.

Positive dynamics has been achieved through the implementation of a strategy of long-term cooperation with key customers, effective planning of the transportation process, as well as expansion of the fleet of rolling stock of the company.

So, for the 5 months of the current year, Lemtrans acquired 928 new gondola cars. By the end of the year it is planned to buy more than 2 thousand gondola cars
