In January-April 2024, Lemtrans’ wagon repair facilities operated at maximum capacity, which allowed it to repair 1,876 freight wagons. In comparison, 1,852 wagons were repaired during the same period in 2023. “Achieving our results became possible thanks to strategic planning of production processes, investments in the latest equipment and high qualification of our personnel, — said Volodymyr Mezentsev, CEO of Lemtrans. — These steps, if necessary, will allow us to promptly deploy car repair facilities in other regions of the country.” Lemtrans is one of the largest private investors in railway car repair facilities in Ukraine. Over 14 years of leasing two railway car repair depots (Kamianske and Volnovakha), the company invested approximately UAH 800 million in production, which allowed it to increase the volume of work performed by more than 2.5 times. In 2022, Volnovakha was occupied by Russian troops, resulting in the company losing control over the railway car repair depot. For now, the enterprise remains under occupation, which prompts Lemtrans to look for new opportunities for development. “We are interested in stable and uninterrupted operation of our railway car repair facilities, so we are actively negotiating to expand our business to new sites. Lemtrans has everything it needs for this — modern equipment, experience and qualified specialists,” added Volodymyr Mezentsev.
