On 29 August, the Container Terminal Mostyska (Mostyska Dry Port LLC), a partner project within the Lemtrans Group, held an Open Day to present its new covered warehouse of more than 4,000 square metres. The facility has the capacity to ship up to 10,000 tonnes of grain and meal per month in containers for export.
The event was attended by representatives of the Lviv Regional Administration, Yavoriv District Administration, executives of regional agro-industrial enterprises, as well as LLC “RISOIL UKRAINE”, a company that already cooperates with the terminal and local producers.
During the event, guests were introduced to the warehouse operations, equipped with the modern A-Ward system for container stuffing. They also joined a guided tour of the terminal, visiting the elevator, observing grain and meal transshipment technologies, liquid food oil and UAN handling, and learning about future development plans. In particular, together with RISOIL UKRAINE, rapeseed is currently being loaded into containers destined for Asian markets. Plans include expanding both the geography of exports and the product portfolio — soon shipments of wheat, soybeans, corn, and niche crops will also head to the Middle East and Africa.
“Today in Lviv region we have taken another step forward in developing modern logistics and the agricultural sector. At “MOSTYSKA DRY PORT,” everything necessary has been established: a state-of-the-art elevator, laboratories, a customs post, convenient logistics, and strong infrastructure. This year alone, the region expects over 2.5 million tons of grains and oilseeds. That is why new capacities are vital. This project proves that even in the most challenging times, we are able to grow, strengthen our positions in global markets, and create new opportunities for Ukraine. I am grateful to everyone involved in implementing this important initiative. May “MOSTYSKA DRY PORT” become a symbol of growth, reliability, and international partnership,” — noted Yurii Buchko, Deputy Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
“For farmers, the opening of this terminal is not just another infrastructure facility, but a reliable tool for development: from convenient storage and transshipment of grain to access to international markets. It is a guarantee of stability even in times of war,” added Tetiana Borushok, Deputy Director of the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
«“Container Terminal Mostyska” has already proven that investments, even during wartime, are of strategic importance. Our new warehouse is not just infrastructure, but a practical tool to support exports and foster the economic development not only of the region, but of Ukraine as a whole, — said Dmytro Kobzar, CEO of the terminal. — We are proud to create solutions that help Ukrainian businesses expand their export operations. We are grateful to the state and local authorities for their support in developing the terminal and business activity in the region. This is true partnership that creates value for the country».
Over three years of operation, the terminal has transformed into a multifunctional logistics hub that processes more than 35,000 railcars annually with diverse cargo: containers, grain, liquid bulk, metals, railway rails, automobiles, and more. Its key advantage is intermodality, which enables efficient cooperation with all types of transport.
