Today, Lemtrans’ main efforts are aimed at supporting the Armed Forces, the Territorial Defence and the logistical security of Ukraine. This week, Lemtrans purchased and handed over modern military equipment to Ukrainian defenders. Its total cost is over UAH 400,000.
Throughout the war, Lemtrans directed a total of over UAH 24 million to help the country as part of Rinat Akhmetov’s military initiative “Steel Front”, as well as to other humanitarian programmes.
“The enemy continues to destroy our infrastructure and encroach on the lives of Ukrainians every day. That is why the support of the Armed Forces and logistical support of the country are among our main priorities for us,” says Volodymyr Mezentsev, CEO of Lemtrans. “This time, we handed over a quadcopter, which will surely help our defenders conduct reconnaissance and detect enemy positions in time.”
The company provides systematic assistance to Ukrainian defenders. In addition to vehicles, bulletproof vests and furnaces, military personnel are given quadcopters and other means that help in the fight against the enemy.
The company’s support also covered paying the logistics tariff for the delivery of humanitarian aid by rail from Europe for the civilian population of Ukraine. To date, more than 2700 tonnes of humanitarian aid have been delivered to Ukraine using the Railway Helps Ukraine railway corridor. The company delivered medicines, food, hygiene products and equipment. The aid went to Kharkiv, Kyiv, Zaporizhia, Dnipro and Luhansk regions.
“Today, everyone’s main task is to do their best in their position and help in whatever way they can. Only in this way, only together, by joining forces, Ukraine will win,” said Volodymyr Mezentsev.
