On 8-13 November, more than 100 trucks will have delivered 150,000 food packages and 20,000 sets for children from Dnepropetrovsk to Donetsk under Rinat Akhmetov’s humanitarian aid drive. By the end of November, the Akhmetov Humanitarian Centre is going to forward 320,000 food sets to Donetsk directly as it is increasing the scope and reach of the assistance meant for residents of Donetsk and other cities and towns facing a critical humanitarian situation. Volunteers will deliver some of the packages and baby sets from Donetsk to Yenakiyevo, Yasinovataya, Khartsyzsk, Ilovaysk and Shakhtyorsk.

“The Humanitarian Centre decided to launch an additional route as the Mariupol-based distribution warehouse cannot handle the increased volumes of humanitarian aid any longer,” commented Denis Denisenko, Chief of Humanitarian Assistance, Humanitarian Centre of Rinat Akhmetov Foundation. “Moreover, we are expanding the number of localities for humanitarian help delivery and increasing the volumes of aid. We are going to bring to Donetsk 40,000 sets for infants by the end of November as part of the Help Children project implemented by the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.”

We remind that the Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Centre has already delivered to Donbass 850,000 food packages to satisfy the needs of more than 1,000,000 people. The humanitarian aid is meant for the most vulnerable citizens living in the ATO area and the IDPs staying in the areas of compact settlement in Donbass. Rinat Akhmetov instructed the Humanitarian Centre to deliver at least 1,000,000 food sets to Donbass by the end of 2014.
